Executive Staff

Adrea J. Rubin
Chief Executive Officer

With over 38 years of experience, Adrea Rubin is the acknowledged expert in insurance/financial services customer acquisition in the direct marketing industry. She started her career in 1974 as the Direct Mail Marketing Association’s Insurance Council administrator. In 1975, Colonial Penn Insurance Company recruited Adrea to learn insurance direct marketing and handle the data acquisition for AARP’s multiple insurance products. In 1976, she opened Direct Media’s New York City branch office. She was named Salesperson of the Year from 1985 to 1988, and became the first female member of the board of directors, and the original, sole female shareholder of Direct Media. Adrea opened Adrea Rubin Marketing in 1990 and Adrea Rubin Media in 1992.

Adrea was awarded List Leader of the Year by the DMA in 2009 and the Direct Marketing Club of New York’s Silver Apple Award in 2011. A frequent speaker at industry events and writer for many industry publications, Adrea is a passionate supporter of many organizations such as the Direct Marketing Association; Direct Marketing Education Foundation; the DMA’s International ECHO Awards as the Insurance Finalist Judge since 2009; Women’s Presidents Organization (WPO); and the Direct Marketing Information Exchange to name a few.

Adrea is a graduate of Tufts University.

Michael D. Hannay
Senior Vice President, Strategic Development

Michael Hannay joined Adrea Rubin Media, Inc. in January 2012 bringing with him over 20 years of direct marketing experience working in multiple facets of the list and data industry, both offline and online. Michael started his career working within the B2B lead generation and List Management industries, then invested the past 13 years working with industry leading marketing services firms such as: R.L. Polk, Equifax Direct Marketing and ICOM/Epsilon/Alliance Data. During this time Michael honed his executive sales leadership skills by building & leading various sales divisions selling marketing services; direct to end user clients, indirectly through List Brokers and Agencies and via strategic partnerships. Michael has extensive experience within the following vertical markets: Financial Services, Insurance, Automotive, Outdoor Sports, Power Sports, Publishing, Catalog/Retail, Not-for-profit, Travel & Entertainment, B2B, Energy/Utilities, Hi-tech, Telco and Emerging Markets…both off-line and on-line.

Michael graduated from The King’s College with a degree in Business Administration/Economics and an emphasis in Direct Marketing.


Stephen Berner - Adrea Rubin MarketingStephen Berner

Vice President of New Business Development

Stephen began his career as Director of New Business Development in the Brand Identity and Packaging Design arena for Gerstman+Meyers, a leading consultancy.  He has worked in management, account development, and new business leadership roles within a number of leading NYC firms.   Most recently, Stephen worked with Dentsu-owned media agency Carat, leading both Digital New Business in North America and driving global new business initiatives for the network with his team of six.  As VP New Business Development, Stephen is responsible for communication strategy, brand development and outbound communications, as it pertains to and supports new business activities.

Stephen is a graduate of SUNY Buffalo.


Mike Bryant
Vice President

Mike began his marketing career as a TV and space media buyer and then moved on to several years as print and production manager for a leading magazine. This combination of marketing and production experience became a perfect progression to the direct response industry. Mike owned and operated Uni-Mail, a specialist response agency for data, insert media and e-mail before joining Adrea Rubin Marketing in September 2001. Since then, Mike’s knowledge and experience have been critical within the Insurance vertical and has built and managed several of Adrea Rubin Marketing’s most successful campaigns and relationships.


Joseph Frick
Vice President of Marketing and Social Media

Joe began his career with American List Counsel in 1994, learning business-to-business and consumer list compilation as the Wholesale Sales Supervisor of the Direct Sales division. Joe joined Adrea Rubin Management in 1999 as marketing manager in the list management department, focusing on client/corporate marketing campaigns, business development, and interacting with list management clients on a daily basis. In 2005, Joe became Director of Marketing and in 2008 added the role of managing accounts in the list management department. In 2011, Joe helped to establish Adrea Rubin’s social media presence including Twitter. Today, Joe oversees list management sales/operations and works on new business/growth initiatives.

Joe is a graduate of Rutgers University.


Lisa Pollack
Vice President, Marketing Strategy

Since joining Adrea Rubin Marketing in 1993 Lisa has worked on customer acquisition and retention campaigns utilizing direct mail, outbound telemarketing and email channels. Lisa’s core responsibilities also include the oversight of custom modeling and analytics well as Competitive Intelligence Insights and lead generation. Lisa is well versed in Insurance, Credit, Continuity programs and catalogs. In 1999, Lisa received the Ron Davis Young Professionals Award from the Direct Marketing Association. The award recipients are nominated by their peers and honor the individual’s contributions to the list and data industry. As Vice President of Marketing Strategy, Lisa works closely with the firm’s clients to develop direct marketing campaigns in a multi-channel environment, as well as overseeing a team of Account Executives and Managers.

Lisa is a graduate of Indiana University.


Jennifer Vilkelis
Chief Financial Officer

Jennifer joined Adrea Rubin Marketing, Inc. in 1997. Together with her dedicated and knowledgeable accounting team they provide nearly 50 years of direct marketing accounting experience. Their goal is exemplary customer service, expediency and accountability. Jennifer graduated with a BA Degree in Accounting from Oswego State University in 1991, and has earned a Certificate in Human Resources from NYU’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies. She is an active Member of the Society of Human Resource Management and works to promote the Adrea Rubin Marketing, Inc. certification as a National Women’s Owned Business Enterprise.


Online Marketing
Sabrina Anthony
Director of Online Media

Sabrina began her career in the direct marketing industry in January 1983; with almost 30 years of experience she has acquired extensive knowledge of marketing and acquisition for various products and services. Her “hands on” experience during her career has included researching and implementing list acquisition campaigns, developing promotions and marketing materials from inception, to mailing printed material to back-end fulfillment, the purchase of space for various types of print media, alternate media programs and Online Lead Generation campaigns. She has also reviewed and evaluated various media results, budgets, profit and loss analysis, and new business development.

Prior to working at Adrea Rubin Marketing, Sabrina worked at Columbia House, Guidepost, National Syndications, American Direct, Atlas Edition, and Atrinsic.


Data Management

Alan ZamchickAlan Zamchick
Director of Data Sales

Alan’s direct marketing education began as a mailer in 1978. As assistant to the Advertising Director at Unity Buying Service, he was responsible for ordering and indexing the results of up to 136 million mailed direct mail pieces annually across Unity’s seven direct mail subsidiaries. In 1981 he was hired by CBS Publications to head their list management operation, a position he retained for the next 26 years through numerous corporate management changes, ending as Hachette Filipacchi. In 2009, Alan successfully launched the EnVision database in the List Management division of Media Horizons.
