Adrea Rubin Wins SmartCEO’s Brava Award For 2017By Mark Taylor Published: April 5, 2017
The SmartCEO’s Brava Award celebrates high-impact female business leaders in three categories: CEOs, Executive Directors of Nonprofits, and C-suite executives. Brava award winners combine their irrepressible entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for giving back to the community and are exemplary leaders of both their companies and their communities. They encourage local philanthropy, mentor up-and-coming leaders and set their companies on the path to tremendous growth. Each year, an independent committee of local business leaders selects winners based on company growth, community impact and mentoring. SmartCEO shares their inspiring stories in SmartCEO magazine and celebrates their success at a high-energy awards gala.
Adrea’s direct response marketing firm provides clients with a new and different point of view than what a standard marketing firm typically provides. Everything Adrea’s firm does is innovative, and data-driven to drive superior results. The 360-degree integrated multi-channel marketing strategy utilized at Adrea Rubin Marketing, helps companies retain clients, acquire new ones, and keep target market audiences engaged. From online and offline data procurement to creative messaging, to lead generation, Adrea’s marketing firm does it all.
When Adrea was asked what makes a successful CEO, this is what she shared:
- Don’t just hear what others are saying, listen to what they mean
- Invest in your staff and give them the tools to succeed.
- Raise employees up, promote from within when possible
- Create goals, reevaluate them often and hold yourself accountable
- Know that it is okay to refuse business. Place the value on your service or product you deserve and realize not every opportunity is worth pursuing.
One of the biggest pieces of evidence that proves what Adrea’s doing works, is that her first client is still with her today. Not many companies can say that, especially in the direct response marketing space.
This is what Adrea shared in regards to listening to employee and client needs, “Nothing makes a person feel more valued and respected than having the opportunity to be heard. I ask for the opinions of others. I ask how they think we can do better. I listen to my staff, clients and vendors alike.”
